COURSE OVERVIEW

Our Stage & Production Design course is aimed at novices in design.

Participants not only learn how to on how to design and build sets for theatre, film & television but how to technically rig and undertake productions and events in halls, theatres, and studios. The course focusses on sound design and distribution, combined with screen displays of video images from several sources, including computers, cameras and laptops.

The course also recommends the best equipment for installation to form an integrated system. Using the very latest techniques and equipment, participants are given full instructions and hands-on experience to operate the system.

HUSSEIN RAMADAN

Hussein Ramadan is a sound engineer, stage & theatre production consultant, and music composer & orchestrator for film and television. Hussein works extensively in the United Kingdom on musicals, concerts, plays, conferences, and corporate award ceremonies. He has been the music supervisor of many successful theatre events including, for the past 5 years, the UK arena tour of the musical Elf: the Christmas Spectacular which has sold out huge arenas and theatres throughout the United Kingdom. As well as directing the orchestra to produce the musical tracks for the show, Hussein also collaborates with sound designers and engineers to ensure consistent high standards of sound at each venue.

HUSSEIN RAMADAN Hussein has also composed music for film and television in both the UK and Cyprus. He was sound associate for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for live worldwide transmission, sound advisor for the Eurovision national finals in Malta, and sound engineer for the Eurovision national finals in Cyprus and has also conducted the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra with his own music, composed for his Masters in Music Orchestration. Currently, Hussein is working on the music and sound design for his debut London West End show and is also preparing for the 2023 UK arena tours of both Peter Pan and Elf.

George Papadopoulos is a production designer, architect, and trainer and is highly experienced around the world. His background as an architect, both in the United Kingdom and in Cyprus, gives him extra-special skills in design. His own award-winning scenic design and construction company Skinotechniki has more than thirty years of experience in designing for stage, TV & film, museums, exhibitions, grand events, installations, and retail. George designs and builds sets for TV shows in several countries and his sets are widely used for news, entertainment programmes, music events, and quiz shows. He designed the opening ceremony of the European Capital of Culture in Paphos and his design for the set of the international TV show Junior Eurovision from Limassol was nominated for an award in the United States Live Design Excellence Awards.

Currently, George is designing a brand-new museum for Cyprus and is also the lead architect for the construction of a major film and TV studio complex in Cyprus. COURSE INVESTMENT
